Mailbox club may be new to us in Alaska, but the partnership between the Mailbox Club and CEF is an old and thriving relationship.
The Mailbox Club is a Bible correspondence club. Children, teens, and adults can now sign up to receive these Bible lessons through the mail or online. Bible lessons are sent to the student through the mail. The student reads the lesson, fills out the question page and mails it back or submits it. The question page is graded and returned with the next lesson. Our first 86 recipients from Port Alsworth and Quinhagak have already received their lessons in the mail! We have sent out 1100 sign-up postcards for the Anchorage-Matsu area. Students from Gambell can now send their questions page to our CEF Alaska office to be graded and receive new lessons rather than sending it to Georgia. As Good News Clubs start for the new school year we are hoping more students will sign up for the Mailbox Club. We are excited to reach the people of Alaska in this unique way; sharing the love of Christ through Bible lessons and encouragement throughout the entire year.
